Source Han Sans is a sans-serif gothic typeface created by Adobe and Google.
English alphabets and numbers are Source Sans Pro font, yet simplified and
traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese fonts are created by other companies.

Source Han Sans includes seven font weights—

ExtraLight 100,

Light 200,

Normal 300,

Regular 400,

Medium 500,

Bold 700,

Heavy 900.

The font contains 65,535

CJK Unified Ideographs specified in Unicode.

Source Han Sans

Source Han Sans（其相应的简体中文、繁体中文、日文、韩文字体名称分别为思源黑体、
思源黑體、源ノ角ゴシック 和???）的设计通过简练的笔划和单线性质感传递出温和的
现代感，这令文本在平板电脑和智能手机等较小型设备上的显示更加清晰和易读。虽然对
Source Han Sans进行了精简，但它仍在很大程度上保留了传统无衬线字体设计的优雅，为
软件菜单等内容中的单行或简短词组提供了极高的可读性， 同时也适用于较长文本的电子
书阅读。

Source Han Sans是 Adobe 的首个 Pan-CJK 字体系列。它包含 7 种粗细——ExtraLight、
Light、Normal、Regular、Medium、Bold 和 Heavy——每一种粗细所涵盖的字形数目都超过
了65,000个，可支持简体中文、繁体中文、日文和韩文。使用上述任何语言的文档都可以使

本：JIS X 0208、JIS X 0213 和 JIS X 0212韩国：KS X 1001 和 KS X 1002

所有Adobe-Japan1-6日本汉字都能被支持，因此Adobe-Japan1 IVD Collection（异体字数
据集合）也同样被支持。Source Han Sans的Unicode涵盖范围相当广泛，包括拉丁字母、
CJK 符号、CJK 统一表意文字（URO 和 Extension A 的全部内容，Extension B 到 E 的部
分内容），以及现代和古代的韩语字母和音节。

How to install fonts

Windows

    Download the font package (.zip) https://www.google.com/get/noto/pkgs/Noto-windows.zip (所有字体)
    Uncompress the package
    Search for “fonts” in the Start Menu or go to Start → Control Panel → Appearance and Personalization → Fonts
    Select all fonts and drag them into the Fonts folder

OS X

    Download the font package (.zip) https://www.google.com/get/noto/pkgs/Noto.zip (所有字体)
    Double click on the package to uncompress it
    Select all of the font files and double click
    Font Book will open and show a preview of the font
    Click on the ‘Install’ button

Linux

    Download the font package (.zip) https://www.google.com/get/noto/pkgs/Noto-hinted.zip (所有字体)
    Uncompress the package
    Select all needed fonts and right click. On the right-click menu, click on Open With Font Viewer
    Click on the “Install Font” button on each preview window

Font installation instructions (字体安装指令)

Linux/Unix-based systems

This is not always the case. My Font Viewer application didn‘t have permission
to write to the fonts directory, and it‘s a pain to mass import fonts this way!

For system wide installation, copy the fonts to /usr/share/fonts and run sudo
fc-cache to rebuild the font cache, or for user local installation, make sure
~/.fonts exists, copy them into there, then rebuild the font cache.

$ unzip -x NotoSansCJKSC-hinted.zip -d NotoSans
$ sudo cp -afrv NotoSans /usr/share/fonts/
$ sudo fc-cache
$ fc-list :lang=zh
