ANALYSIS ON STUDENTS

Senior One students have a higher level on cognitive development with good memory and comprehension. Meanwhile they have foundations of grammar and can do some reading exercises. But students still have problems on reading and thinking critically, so teachers have the responsibility to strengthen their abilities to present their own ideas.

TEACHING ACTIVITIES

  1. Lead-in
  2. Body

a)       Ask students to glance over the text in order to have the general idea in their mind.

b)      Conduct students to analyze paragraphs and find out what the main idea as well as supporting sentences are.

c)       Clarify new words and expressions in the text.

FORMATIVE EVALUATION

Using quizzes and questions to evaluate how much the students have grasped.
